The downfall of our country...

A truth has finally fallen into place for me. It happened Friday when I was in prayer.

First of all, I never totally understood until about a week ago why and what God meant when we are told to repent of sins of our country. I always thought that when we could justify why we committed that sin, it was forgiven. I finally repented for the sin of divorce.....even though I have been justifying not repenting of it for almost 30 years because for the first divorce, I did not want it. (I still became divorced, therefore it was sin on my part.) The second one I had a very abusive, controlling, alcoholic, unfaithful husband so I therefore justified not having to repent of it because I had to do it for my own safety and sanity. (Even though I had reason, it was still divorce.)

Last Friday during corporate prayer during chapel time at school, I repented of the sin of allowing evolution. No, I did not set it up in our schools. No, I did not cause it to be set up. I was only 5 years old when God was taken out of public schools, but I as a Christian closed my eyes as a parent and sent my children to public school. I don't know what I was thinking at the time, but I never even spoke to my children about the lie of evolution being taught to them. I sent them to school with fertile hearts and the doubting seed of evolution was planted into their minds and hearts. And now I wonder why they have doubting hearts as adults and don't want to believe in the accuracy of the Bible and the solidarity of God's Word being divine and the only truth. Now I look back and realize the error of my decisions and have repented of it. And the only hope I have is that God will answer my prayers and turn their hearts to Him.

The ugly foundation of their lack of belief is sadly, evolution. They probably don't even realize this themselves. I hope and pray that I have a chance to discuss it with them someday.
